Hands down, the best concert we’ve ever attended. No set design. No background singers. No band. No dancers. Just Garth, his acoustic guitar and a concert performance that ranks somewhere around “brilliant.” Keith held my hand the entire time and I could not have asked for a more wonderful night. It just doesn’t get any better than this.

He is pretty awesome, Paula! Have you seen Garth live in concert before? It's quite a site to behold.

I'm sure that was such a wonderful night! I love when my husband holds my hand all the time =)… My favorite concert memory probably is when I was attending a youth conference just for one night to help chaperone at another church(my parents were the youth pastors). And the worship was done, and they were announcing their next band .. LEELAND!! I LOVE Leedland and everything they stand for. So I was just so shocked I repeatedly kept saying "Its Leeland! Its Leeland!" It was an awesome moment.

@Fawn – No, I have not seen Garth but would love to! I missed the opportunity last year when he did the benefit concerts here in Nashville for the devestating floods we experienced in 2010. Maybe the Husband and I need to plan a Vegas trip!
Evette
No big concerts for us yet, but a great mini concert memory was when my hubby and I danced and laughed more than the youth at a raggae youth event with Dominic Balli.
Just a quick note – My hubby and I read your post last night and had a very intimate conversation. I laugh now because I sooo wanted to comment on the post but it was one of those key times that my hubby wanted to be heard. Thanks for the great topic and for helping our marriage on it's journey to healing. Till tomorrow my friend

Seeing Adele is my favorite concert moment. I don't attend many concerts, but i HAD to go see her. She was amazing.
This is one of the reasons i love living in Nashville….music is everywhere here.
I am jealous that you got to see Garth…..i've always wanted to see him!!

So jealous! I'm going to take your advice and sign-up for the pre-sale notices. My favorite concert memory was at a Tim McGraw concert and I remember not being able to see him. The nice lady said next to me he's right next to you. When I saw him standing next to me I started to cry out of shock of the moment. Really, it's embarrassing now that I think about it.

@Lauren- I don't think I know Leeland. Now, I've got to look them up on YouTube . @Paula- Garth in Vegas is a must! I've only seen his big concerts on DVD (the ones with 10s of thousands of people) but i definitely preferred the small venue where you got to see every facial expression he made. He's a really funny guy too. If he wasn't a singer, he'd probably be a comedian. @Isabel- Don't be jealous…he'll be there a few more years so grab the hubby and hop a flight . @Faith- That's hilarious! When Garth said he was going to sing The Dance, I let out a scream so loud that my husband and everyone else in the theater looked my way. Embarrassing moment for sure… I loved seeing Tim and Faith in concert together. One of my favorite concert memories too. @Evette- Yeah! I'm so happy that topic spurred conversation. That's always my hope. Thank you for sharing that with me! You made my day.

Wow! I am sure it was excellent. I enjoy country music too, so if Garth is ever in town I will check him out. Thanks so much for sharing your post and linking up with mine, it really means a lot. Also, I will have to grab that "I am a happy wife" badge. I love my hubby lots.
I love Fred Hammond, my hubby and I have gone to a few of his concerts. I can't say my hands were in my hubby's but they were in the AIR, praising God. We had a great worship experience together. There is nothing better than that for me. Looks like you had a fabulous time! You make me want to steal away to Vegas for a concert.

So jealous! I love Garth. Great WW pic!

@Elle- yes, definitely grab the badge. Our goal is to find 1 million like you and like me. We're going to get there and the more badges out there the better . @Annett- Oh, I can imagine how great a Fred Hammond concert must have been. His CD was rotating in my car for years. I just changed it recently when I got a new car that help less CDs). Thank you both for stopping by and taking the time to comment.

@Kaytie- Don't be jealous – hop on a plane and head to see him in concert. I'm happy to meet you there! As a matter of fact, maybe that should be an outing for the HWC, all the wives on here all meet to see Garth. That's a good excuse to go again .
JSW
My three favorite moments of the concert- Hearing my husband sing along to "If Tomorrow Never Comes," hearing the song, "Unanswered Prayers," and raising my margarita to my dear friend and her hubby after that song to say, "thank you for dragging me along!" I can't say I'm a country fan, but most definitely a Garth fan.

@JSW- We're going to make you a country fan. Keith hated country when I met him, you know? Garth was just the first stop. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw…here we come!

Love this Site. Great idea to show how marriage rocks and how there are wives out here in the real world who are actually happy in their union. Glad you enjoyed the concert. It's nothing like witnessing a great live performance.
Fawn Weaver
Thanks, Denise! I got a couple emails today from a casting director wanting us to promote casting for a new reality show, and as usual, they were looking for couples with marital issues. I asked her to please contact me when they're casting for a show depicting healthy marriages. It's not that we want to pretend problem marriages aren't common. They are. But please, please give us some balance. Allow us to see both sides of this thing called marriage. If the television producers won't do it, I think we'll have to do it ourselves .

Lucky you are! Such perfomances are so rare and they are really unique as there's a special vube between singer and the audience. I wish I had been there…

he's pretty awesome, great photos, too, and thanks so much for sharing.
have a great day! betty
Fawn Weaver
@Eugene & Betty- I definitely think I'm the luckiest gal in the world . I hope you both get a chance to go see him while he's still there. But if not, he said once his youngest daughter goes to college he's firing the tour bus back up and heading back out on the road. So he may come to a town near you!

Fawn Weaver
@Kelsey- Yes he is! If you could go to any concert in the world, where would it be and who would you see?
